Bhí an ceo ag éirí de na cnoic The fog was rising from the hills
There's a particular kind of solitude you can find walking through the Irish landscape, where being alone doesn't necessarily feel lonely.
Bhí an Ceo ag Éirí de na Cnoic captures a barefoot walk along a coastal path after a storm, with the mist still moving across the distant hills and islands. In Irish folklore, rising mist was sometimes associated with the Good People (The fairies), moving unseen through the landscape.
For me, it's about that feeling of walking somewhere familiar and sensing there might be more to the place than what you can see. The storm has passed, the landscape is opening up again, and for a while there's nowhere else you need to be.
