20 x 25 cm, original oil painting on gallery wrapped linen, ready to hang.
This painting is based on a photograph I took while driving around Achill Island with my husband, during our trip along the Wild Atlantic Way in our camper. It holds a memory of that journey: exploring unfamiliar places together and seeing what we found along the way.
Go n-éirí an bóthar leat is an Irish blessing wishing someone well on their journey, often translated as “May the road rise to meet you.” For me, it connects this small piece of the west of Ireland with that simple wish for a good journey, wherever the road takes you.
