50 x 40cm. Oil painting on canvas, ready to hang.
There is something striking about finding softness in a creature defined by its strength.
Wild Majesty places the powerful presence of a young bull among delicate wildflowers and butterflies. Its dark, imposing form fills the composition, while the smaller signs of life surrounding it create an unexpected sense of gentleness and calm.
Expressive marks, pattern and shifting areas of colour blur the boundary between animal and environment, allowing the bison to feel both monumental and deeply connected to the world around it.
A painting about the coexistence of strength and tenderness, and the quieter beauty that can exist within something wild.
